Description

Powered by the legendary 500ci V8, the largest production V8 of its time, Cadillac marketed the Eldorado as a legendary automobile, unique due to its front wheel drive, variable-ratio power steering, Automatic Level Control, and the availability of a convertible in the line. It was pointed out that the Cadillac Eldorado provided many meaningful features as part of its standard equipment. Glamour was emphasized, as were the many changes to styling, performance, economy, and new interior touches of luxury, such as the use of distressed pecan vinyl panels and the new instrument panel. The 1974 Eldorado was the last to retain the original second-generation styling.
PROS: NO RUST, New Battery (starts up every time), Runs and Drives, New aluminum radiator (have repairable OEM in trunk), New Master brake cylinder, body very straight (no major dents or dings), original paint, original white leather interior, recent oil change, fresh coolant, Power Windows, Power Steering, Telescoping Steering Wheel, Heated Rear Glass, Power locks, Very solid underneath all Lights work (reverse, brake, headlights, signals), Wipers work, radio works, fuel gauge reads, speedometer works, A/C is all there (needs charge), no major engine or tranny leaks, Original Spare tire and cover (no jack), original owner’s manual (see pictures).
CONS: Car needs paint (OEM plastic spacers included), Convertible top motor engages but needs help to raise/lower (rag top worn), tires hold air fine but have age, power antenna motor works but antenna is in trunk, vehicle is over 40 years old and has been parked in a barn for about 20 years so do not expect a new car.
