1970 Chevelle SS 396 / 350 HP.
Up for auction is my 1970 Chevelle SS 396. Car is a true SS and does have a build sheet. Car was sold new At Kiplinger Chevrolet in California. Car spent most of its life in the warm CA. climate. This car still has the original undercoating with the factory primer underneath. clean as they come. Was repainted about 14 years ago. I have owned the car for around 13 years. Sadly the Org. 396 was gone. Now has a built 468 BB Chevy with only about 1000 miles since built. Engine is bored .060, Comp cam, comp rockers, full roller. AND MORE.. dyno"ed at 502 HP/586 TQ. Great street manners and pump gas friendly. Trans. is the factory TH400 and has been rebuilt with Shift kit and Monster 2500 stall convertor. Factory 12 bolt rear rebuilt, F41 suspension, ect. Interior is in excellent cond. and is the factory black in color. It is an A.C. car. Have most of the components to put it back that way. Car has good exhaust, but I have a Pypes stainless 3" X pipe system for it. There is no rust or excess body filler in this car! all clean and straight metal. Paint is very nice but does have some minor flaws. Few stone chips ect.. All imperfection would be hard to spot unless under very close examination. Amercian Racing torque thrust 17' wheels in excellent cond. along with the tires. Glass, chrome, stainless, ect. are all in great cond.
Really never planned on selling this car but life priorities have changed and the car rarely gets driven. Hope to see it go to a good home that will drive it and enjoy it.
I will be glad to work with buyer on shipping the car. And a 3 third party inspection if like. And of course always welcome to view in person.
