Description

This is a numbers matching fuel injected 327 engine, 4 speed T-10 transmission, and Posi traction 4.11 rear end. The engine, fuel injection, and rear end have been recently rebuilt. It is equipped with the RPO 687 package which included heavy duty brakes and suspension, quick steering adaptor, 5.5' wide wheels, and off road exhaust. It is one of 246 corvettes built with this option and is in a rare triple black color combination with matching hardtop. Hardtop has not been restored but is complete and in decent condition. The cars runs perfect and everything works except for the turn signal cancellation and windshield wiper washer system needs to be re-plumbed. There is over $40k in recent receipts to improve the car for NCRS judging and to improve the cars drivability. Besides the engine and fuel injection rebuild, I have also replaced or rebuilt with date coded correct: starter, clock, exhaust, spark plugs, wires, distributor cap, shocks, re-arched leaf springs, headlights, wipers blades, windshield washer pump, heater core, steering tie rods, king pins, spare tire, original lug wrench, original jack, both front and rear brake air scoops, car cover, trunk liner and mat, and many other items. The car has a black lacquer paint that was done in 1995 and still looks very good. I repainted the inside door jambs to factory correct flat black along with changing all the weatherstripping, door window felt, and windshield gasket, except for the hardtop. The paint does not have any checkering but there are some very small paint chips that I will show in pictures. The only fiberglass repair that I have found on the car is on the driver side rear fender that is approx 6" in diameter. All other fiberglass on the car looks to be original and all bonding strips are in place. The interior and convertible top were also replaced with correct Al Knoch material. There are 2 small imperfections on the soft top that I will show in photos. I have almost all manuals and several period articles that I have collected. The original build sheet is not with the car but I have had the car inspected and several knowledgeable and respected corvette people have looked at the car and said they thought it was a real Big Brake car due to the air vent cut outs and fiberglass duct work for the brake ventilation. This car is also unique because it has the dealer add-on set-up for front dual sway bars(sebring package) that is not connected because the exhaust crossover pipe would need to be removed in order to fit. If you would like additional information or pictures of the car, please contact me and I can email the information you need.
