Description

Up for sell is (1 of 2) of my 1972 Stingrays. The other to be listed soon. The very last year of the collectible Corvette in my opinion and an opinion widely held in the Corvette communities. With the chrome rear and front bumpers. It is one of those deals where i didn't know where to start or end. Seeing how I just bought another airplane, this is 1 of 4 toys that has to go. This is a numbers matching 350 with original automatic transmission. There has been a little over $7,000 with reciepts spent on the car in the last 2-3 years and it hasn't gone 20 miles since then. Including but not limited to new wheels, new tires, new brakes, new calipers (all 4), new brake booster and many of the lines, rear end rebuilt, new axle seals and strut bushings and New inner and outer bearings, carb rebuilt (note: one pictured is not the original carb or breather but they will be on the car when sold). New gas tank, new fuel pump, New radiator and lower radiator hose, new alternator, new tach drive h.e.i. distributor, New plugs and wires, new vacuum cans for the lights, New starter. The list goes on and on. That being said I'll give you some details about the car. It came from Texas originally, Factory color was Sunflower yellow with tan interior. Car is currently bright red with a black with (tan door panels) interior. It will need paint as it has several chips on the top sides and top rear along with a few body seems showing elsewhere. It's a good 50 footer as my dad would call it. Interior is in pretty fair shape. seats not tron or ripped. But yes it still has the tan door panels. Frame is in very good shape with minimal surface rust and no holes.(Thank you Texas). Car runs and drives, but seems to have a sticky lifter from sitting or it may just need the carb adjusted. Figured that out in the 20 miles. I think the car would make an excellent driver with minimal work and could easily be made very nice with a paint job and door panels. The car will be sold to the highest bidder and though I'm going to learn a lesson on this one, I know I will take a bath, but the car needs to go to someone who will finish and enjoy it. I'd be interested in possible trades down or for a 69 Camaro. Please check with your wife, kids, and dog if you need to before you bid on this car. I take the sell seriously as i hope you do as well. If you want more specific pictures of anything, let me know and I'll do my best. I welcome any questions. Thank you for taking the time. It is advertised locally as well so sell may end without notice. I have delivery available in the U.S. for a dollar a mile. P.J.
