Description

Offering this rare vintage retractable hardtop Ford skyliner. It is a very early 57 and does not carry the skyliner emblem on the rear pillar as they did on the later 57's. It is a 312 Y-block and I was able to start by jumping a power wire to the coil and dumping some gas in the carburetor. It sounded very good with no knocks or tapping. This car will require total restoring but for one who does body work it's a great platform to start with. I recently saw one for sale with a price tag of over two hundred thousand. I personally don't think it would sell for half that but my point is that they are extremely valuable. I have a clean Pennsylvania title that shows 40 some thousand original miles while odometer is at 95,780. I have it stored in a garage with a lift and would certainly welcome anyone to come look it over good before bidding. The opening bid is low with no reserve. The two pictures of the red car are not the car you are bidding on but there to represent the correct color and trim to the car I am selling. It has potential to be a beautiful car. I was told by a guy who is very familiar with the operation of the top to emphasize the fact that all the switches and relays are in place. There are some motors missing but are easily available. I will also supply the buyer a contact to a guy who has everything needed to restore this car at a very reasonable price. Feel free to contact me for any questions. Listed are codes that may help you guys that know what they mean. on the vin tag as follows- vin- D7EW207211 BODY-51A COLOR-VE TRIM-BF PRODUCTION-22C CODE-7624P Thank you
