1965 Ford Galaxy 500 Convertible All Original Not a Restoration 20,530 miles 390ci V8, 4sp Transmission, Red Exterior with Red Interior and White Power Convertible Top, Power Steering, Power Top, Factory Wire Wheel Covers, Stainless Steel Side Skirts, 390ci V8 4 barrel Carburetor, Full Bench Seat, Seat Belts and Much More. Galaxy is all original and in great shape. We are the second owners. This Galaxy has a unique story to its history. In 1965 a young soldier returned to his home in Charlotte, Virginia from Viet Nam and purchased his Galaxy from Grinele Motors Co. Appomattox VA. , later that year he unfortunately drowned and his family stored his car in their barn where it stayed except to get serviced once a year. Our friends Tom & Patty who are also farm owners went to their ford dealer to purchase a new truck, while they were in the showroom the Mother of the soldier came in and told the salesman’s about the car and they kind of chuckled and said they weren’t interested, Patty followed her outside told her she had friends in California that were car collector’s that may be interested, they went to the farm entered the barn and pulled the tarp off the Galaxy and there she was sitting for 26 years. This Galaxy has been seen in Monster Garage and other productions, parades and homecomings, have always won at all the car shows for original category. The Galaxy for being 52 years old is in fabulous original condition but has a few imperfections. Pop has passed away and now it is time to send her to another owner and a new page for her story. Galaxy is located in Orange County CA.
