1959 Ford Galaxie Fairlane 500 Survivor - 73,000 original miles! WORKING FACTORY AIR!!!Features Include:
Original 300 hp 352 V83-Speed Manual Transmission with Overdrive! Borg Warner T85 with R11 Overdrive. Sometimes referred to as a "6 speed" because all three gears are capable of overdrive! Shifts well.Clutch was inspected and adjusted by a professional mechanic.Newer Holley Carburetor - Rebuilt within the last 2 monthsNew TSP Pro Series HEI DistributorNew Ignition CoilNew Spark PlugsNew AC Compressor (R134)New AC Lines and DryerAftermarket Rims with Good Firestone TiresBrakes were recently inspected by a mechanic and are in good working order.Rear axle recently replaced. The old one had a slight bend and would cause a bit of a rumble when driven.New Water PumpNew BatterySuspension is good.Comes with Chrome Fender Skirts (Not Pictured).Please look at the pictures. There is little rust. The paint is nice but there are some paint chips and scratches. Some of the chrome trim is a little banged up. The upholstery is also very nice but there is some wear. The drivers seat has a split in the fabric but, for a '59, this interior looks great! Heat works. AC works. Windshield wipers work. Radio and clock do not work. Although, like any older car, this one has it's idiosyncrasies, I personally would not hesitate to drive this car anywhere.
HOWEVER - Remember - This is the ORIGINAL motor. Although it only has 73,000 miles and, according to documentation, was rebuilt around 31,000 miles, a 60 year old motor and transmission could fail!
This car is a nice driver. Starts right up. Drives straight. Stops good. Comfortable ride.
Sold as-is, where is. Buyer is responsible for pick up and transportation. a deposit of $500 is due within 48 hours of purchase. The balance is due within 7 days by cash or cashier's check.
