Description

Genuine R code 1970 428 Cobra Jet Mach 1 for sale with original engine wand factory shaker hood. This car is in excellent condition with correct, new calypso corral paint, no rust and almost all parts used to restore were either NOS or used but in very good condition. I have way, way more invested in it than the asking price but due to poor health I can barely drive it. This car was restored as a resto-mod, weekend driver to show in local cruise-ins. It has AC, PS, PB, fold down rear seats, louvers, rear and front spoilers. Additions to car: 4R70W overdrive automatic transmission, aluminum radiator, blue thunder aluminum intake, FPA ceramic coated headers, Dove Canadian Cobra Jet aluminum heads, Comp Street Roller Cam, electronic ignition w/ rev limited, Detroit Locker rear end w/ 3.91 gears and a high end forged steel stroker crankshaft (465 CID), modern mustang AM/FM radio. Motor is balanced neutral. Comes with the car: Original exhaust manifolds, intake, heads, radiator, and its original C-6 transmission are all on-hand and all are unmodified. I think I even have the smog pump. The original transmission was rebuilt and was working like new when replaced with an overdrive transmission several years ago. The a/c compressor has been replaced with one that uses the modern 134A Freon. Marti report is on hand to prove authenticity. When valued by its VIN number (0T05R119989), Haggardly online valuation tools says the average value for this car is worth 70K. Black interior was redone 10 years ago but looks new because the car is stored indoors. Original interior color was vermilion (red). This car has a good idle and is very, very fast. This car was not restored to sell. I was restored for me to keep and I spared no expense.
