Description

1955 Ford Sunliner

I have 4 other projects and don't have the time to devote to this one. I bought this car with the intention of building a restomod, Leaving the body lines original with the original 272 3 speed automatic.
The car runs and drives. The engine easily starts up and runs well. The transmission tail shaft seal leaks so it can’t be driven far. The frame is solid but rusty. IT IS NOT THE ORIGINAL FRAME.
I have 69 pictures and 2 videos to visually describe the car as best as I can. I do have a brand new windshield, the outside stainless steel windshield trim, and the trim the goes around the windshield on the inside. I believe it will all fit. I have not had the windshield in so I can’t say for sure. When I bought these parts I was told they would fit the car. The convertible top frame is all there but rusty and would need to be rebuilt. The parts that are bad can be welded, and the rusty sheet metal can easily be fabricated. I do not have the hydraulic parts for the top to go up and down. The seat that is in the car now is not the original and I do not know what it is out of.
Free and clear Virginia Title. Mileage Unknown (Ebay forces you to enter the mileage to list the car).
A 1955 Ford Sunliner Restomod sold recently in a Mecum Auction for $210K. A restored original ranges anywhere from the high $40’s to mid-$60’s.
Feel free to questions. EBay won’t allow me to post all the pictures or videos, so for those that are really interested in purchasing, email, and I will send you my number.
I will not give out the reserve. I’m sorry, it is an auction.
The car is being sold AS-IS.
