Description

Regrettably for sale my Formula 27 widebody kit car with independent suspension.
I've not had the car long but I've recently bought a house and trying to run 3 cars and a motorbike is proving irksome financially.
I know its the worst time to sell but I'm not in a rush and don't mind keeping it till the Summer.
The car is running a 1.8 Rover VVC 143bhp but with the 160bhp Enlarged throttle body.
It has got a Caterham exhaust manifold and exhaust.
Caterham minilites with very good Avon ZV3 tyres.
Sierra running gear and the V6 5 speed gearbox. (Which benefits from a longer first)
2500 miles on the chassis.
Engine has around 49k with proof
Green stuff pads and calipers all round.
Currently has a 3.6 diff fitted but the car comes with a good working 3.92.
Fiberglass MK Indy seats.
Caterham heated windscreen and comes with a black Aeroscreen
Willans Harness
RMD (fitted) and Mountney steering wheels with a driftworks quick release.
AVO Coilovers all round
Custom alloy radiator and fuel tank with swirl pot
Modified heating system with landrover thermostat to sort the poor Rover design of dumping cold coolant into a hot engine which led to the headgasket issues. The car also has a small heater fitted which helps on the cold mornings.
Immobilizer fitted.
All good quality VDO gauges used.
Huge amount of history and build pictures. The car passed the strict IVA in 2009 and has MOT till April 2016
Its on an age related plate (G) and not a Q plate and is properly registered on the V5 with chassis numbers matching.
All fluids and filters changed 1000 miles ago
Spares
Mountney round steering wheel, 3.92 diff, spare wheel carrying frame (this bolts onto the back of the car and allows a spare wheel to be carried or luggage), fiberglass aeroscreen, FSE powerboost valve.
Bad points:
Seats are currently bolted in (great if your 6ft) but I have adjustable rails that you can use to modify the seats or just move the seats to a different location and re bolt them in.
Exhaust mounts are a little perished but I will be ordering some shortly.
Its a really good car that is reliable, gets good economy (has retained fuel injection with a stock ECU so no carb issues) yet is still fast and responsive, its much better than the heavy Pinto engine usually found in these cars. The independent suspension is surprisingly comfortable and it handles nicely. I've driven across the country in it with no problems (apart from getting wet)
I'm located in Kirkby in Ashfield, Nottinghamshire, East Midlands
I would like £5000 or near offers
