Description

Up for sale is a 1941 Hudson Commodore Eight Sedan. This was the top of the line for Hudson in 1941. I have owned this car since 2005 (14 yrs.) It is a well running and driving car. The car was refurbished between 2005/2006. This included soda blasting the paint to bare metal and painting the car in a modern (2 stage paint) that is close to an original Hudson maroon color.
An all new interior was installed including headliner, that replicates the original pattern and style. New brakes, including lines and master cylinder were installed. The engine was rebuilt by the previous owner and does not burn any oil, and runs excellent. The clutch and transmission work great as well. The radiator was recored and the car does not overheat. Most of the chrome and pot metal has been replated, but some original plating remains on a few pieces.
All of the gauges operate correctly. The radio is complete but does not function, and the same for the clock. The vacuum wiper motor could use a rebuild and the horn sometimes works when it is not supposed to (very embarrassing) so I have it currently disconnected. There are no cracks in the glass and all windows roll up and down correctly. There is a slight delamination to both vent windows. The car has 84,140 original miles on it. It is a very solid and great driving car. My family and I have enjoyed this car for many years. The kids are all grown and out of the house and it is time for her to go to a new family.
I have additional photos of the car that will be supplied upon request. I can also take pictures of any specific areas that you would like to see.
