Description

Extremely rare Australian build with only around 300 (Number Stamped) ever made. All painted the same yellow (entire vehicle inside and outNo mismatched color under the seats or inside the door jams) with the bulkhead and accessories painted grey. When restored (years ago) the grey parts were Galvanized (including the whole bulkhead). All of these sported the same exterior protection off the line. This one is complete all the way down to the original blue lettered mud flaps. A very nice example. 2.25l engine with only Non ethanol rec gas used. The only one I know of here in the states (or anywhere in this very nice and complete condition). This is a 40 year old Land Rover Series 3. Please know what that is prior to bidding. No AC, no seat adjustments, no power steering, no nonsense. Yes on fun.
Inspections are encouraged.I can help arrange shipping (to a port for international bidders).
Thanks for looking! Below are answers to some usual questions. If you do not get your answer, please don't hesitate to ask.
Does it leak? Yes, there is a small gearbox and oil leak. Nothing unusual in our experience (owing these type trucks).
Are the wheels original? Yes, the oversized wheel/tire package was a factory add on as well as the wheel arches. These along with the wheel carrier, bull bar, rear corner protectors and full interior went along with the "GAME" branding.
Does it have a radio? No. It is wired for one and has 4 speakers.
Did these originate in Australia? Kinda. All Series trucks came over from the UK as kits. They were assembled in Australia. The special painting and accessories were added on there (in Australia).
Is the bodywork "perfect". No, but the pictures represent the truck very well. If you are curious about a particular body panel, please let me know and I will take another picture. A couple (I believe) bondo patches and a crease may be present. The original owner felt it best to keep the truck original. I tend to agree.
Is the paintwork "perfect". No, but really darn close. There is a little lifting from either side of one of the roof ribs but not noticeable and not systemic. The highest most centered part of the truck probably got the thinnest paint/clear coat when repainted years ago. The paint shows very well as illustrated in the pictures.
Is that wheel carrier original? Yes it is. During the rebuild process a gas strut was added (similar to those gas struts on your hood or lift gate). It's a life saver as the wheel carrier is very heavy duty. It was also galvanized.
Interior noise? If you're familiar with these truck you know it could be compared to riding inside a Coke can. The trimmed interior GREATLY reduces this effect. The carpet floormats are insulated, the truck has door cards, headliner, rear rubber boot matting, transmission tunnel cover and carpet over the rear wheel wells.
Please ask questions. Happy to help. No warranties written or implied.
