2012 Lexus LFA
This is a very rare and unique opportunity to own a piece of engineering history, with a 12 year development, Toyota/Lexus team created one of the finest masterpieces ever to grace public roads!
The body/chassis is pure art in itself, but with pure performance being its centerpiece. Carbon-tub monocoque chassis from Toyota's own carbon-fiber loom/facility (other carbon-tub automobiles outsource this). The Lexus team worked long and hard to create the strongest yet lightest carbon-tub structure, and the results are amazing, as this car has an absolute amazing feel on the roads!
Then next, the engine. Pure balance and power, 72 degree V10, 4.8 liters 560 HP, very usable power all the way up to the 9,000 RPM redline. The power delivery is flawlessly instant, but the symphony that follows the climb in RPM is worth the price of admission alone! This powerplant (5.9 lb/hp weight-to-power) mated with a precise 6 speed sequential gearbox makes blipping through the gears without hesitation to maximize enjoying the overall experience.
This particular car, #72 out of 500 (out of 170 in the USA), bathed in gorgeous red with stunning red/black interior that still feels/smells of a new LFA! Only 6350 miles (mostly in Texas) shows that the owner actually enjoyed this car to keep the fluids moving (so many collector cars never get used, which we all know is not very healthy not to exercise mechanical parts over time!), so this car actually has perfect amount of miles for the year!
