Description

This Blue Mercedes 280SE is being sold with NO RESERVE and it will sell. The car is in running and driving shape but is in need of some love. The body is a great base for a restoration and is in solid condition. There is some surface rust and lots of paint cracking and imperfections all of these may not show in the pictures. The worst spots for corrosion are at the right rear rocker panel and the right upper C-Pillar/Roof (Shown in the pictures) even these areas aren't that bad! The chrome trim is in fantastic shape and worth quite a lot of money to Mercedes enthusiasts and restorers. The interior leather was stained white at some point through its life and you can see in some of the pictures that there is wear and tare mainly on the driver seat. Mechanically the car runs, drives and shifts smoothly through all 4 gears (Manual transmission on the steering column). The engine could use a tune up as it does miss on one cylinder, though compression is good on all 6 cylinders. The sunroof motor is functional but the cable used to operate the roof is not connected(Must have slipped or broken at some time). The only other two things are the temperature gauge on in the instrument cluster does not read and the heater fan isn't blowing. Over all this car is a great base for a moderate restoration. These cars are becoming more and more collectible and are only rising in value. They are extremely elegant and very cool.. Though you already know that, that's why your here reading this!
This would be an easy import to the USA as its well over the 25 year mark and taking advantage of the Canadian Dollar can make a lot of sense.
