Description

This 1955 Mercury Monterey comes nicely equipped with power windows, power bench seat, air conditioning, dual exhaust, original radio with rear speaker and dashboard clock! The car has been sitting for 27 years in the Arizona sun so the interior is pretty much shot. I have pulled most of the carpet to show the solid floors and trunk panthere is no rust. the rear seat was covered with a seat cover so the fabric is still pretty nice, however, the foam beneath is very dry rotted. The headliner is gone and the dome light lens is missing. The body is very straight but there are a few relatively minor dents, one in the drivers side rear door, (see pic, the missing piece of trim is present in the pic of the hubcaps), a very shallow crease in the bottom drivers door, and a few very minor dents in the bumpers. Overall the body is excellent. The motor is complete and turns freely. I am not sure if the AC is factory installed or by the dealer but it is all complete. The door panels are generally in bad shape, but the wiring for the power windows appears to be in good condition as are the switches for the windows and the power bench seat. The radio, with rear speaker, is original and looks good as does the dash. All of the glass is in very nice condition except the front passenger side window which has a crack. All four hubcaps are present and are in very nice condition. The fender skirts are included and are in good condition. The right rear tail light is cracked, as are the front turn signal/parking light lenses. I will add more info and photos in the coming days, if you have any questions please feel free to ask.
Update: A few items I missed. There is a shallow depression on the forward trunk lid, (see pic), which causes the trunk to bind a little bit when closing it. It is hardly noticeable visually but makes some noise when closing the lid. A decent body man should be able to massage this out with no issues. The trunk latch doesn't catch, therefore it will be necessary to tie it down for shipping. I can handle this for the prospective buyer. There is a small dent on the forward edge of the drivers door, (see pic), which causes some minor binding when opening and closing the door. Again, I think this can be massaged out by a decent body man.
