1955 Mercury Monterey

1955 Mercury Monterrey Lead Sled - a fun low rider - original V8 engine, new exhaust, shaved door handles (will need door poppers ), Tires and in great shape and hold air very well, she is low to the ground gentleman, good interior - none of the seats have any holes or tears in them), needs headliner, some door trim panels reapplied, window cranks and needs adjustment to one window as it does not crank up well (binds on drivers side), new gas tank to install (old one was already removed as it was rusty and scaled inside - have the new one in the trunk ready to apply), battery and solenoid to apply, frame, floors and trunk and body are solid, front and rear bumpers came off of a Packard (56 i believe) , a cool rat rod, ran well when parked 2 years ago, needs some minor TLC but a couple of weekends of elbow grease will get here going again. We were looking to do a mild 302 power plant swap, but never got around to it, so some of the engine components are removed (air breather, solenoid, battery, and heater duct but that's about it - she did run nice with the original merc engine, just wanted something with a little more "gusto", but just never got around to getting it done. Paint was done about 8 years ago and have the rat rod type logos applied at the same time to the front hood and rear trunk. She went by the name "Elvira" and used to turn heads before and she can do the same again!reserve Selling at no reserve as I am moving in the very near future, so my loss is your gain.
