Description

Here is your chance to own a solid classic with all the right stuff! This is a California black plate car and has spent it's whole life on the west coast until recently. Features include: automatic transmission, power steering, power brakes, 8 lug rims, wonder bar radio, rear speaker, low fuel light and speed minder. Car has newer radial tires and beautiful new red interior. It must be seen in order to appreciate.
Mechanical
The orginal 389 four barrel motor is quiet, tight, and strong. Transmission is good and shifts as it should. Everything electrical functions well, including all lights and turn signals. The only know problem is with the speedometer cable. Car will come with a brand new cable for the new owner to install. I am confident that you could drive this car anywhere.
Exterior
Body is rock solid with all original panels, no rust ever! The paint is original to the car and looks very good considering it is 50+ years old. There are the typical paint chips and a few minor dings, nothing major. Chrome looks great and is virtually pit free. The trunk floor has a few small holes (from moisture trapped under trunk matt) but otherwise very solid. Body floors are all perfect and rust free, as a California car should be! Chrome on passenger side will be installed shortly, just waiting on the correct clips.
Interior
As stated above, the interior is brand new and looks great. Almost everything was replaced including carpet, door panels, all seat covers and headliner. Dash looks almost like new with no pits in chrome. Steering wheel is cracked but still very presentable. Dash pad is cracked as is common with these cars, especially in dry climates. Both speakers have been recently replaced and the radio is rebuilt and works perfectly. Speedometer has been changed out for the speed warning and low fuel type. This is why there is a difference in mileage in picture and mileage listed. Original speedometer will be included with the car.
