Description

2008 Porsche Cayman S for sale: ~ 55k miles on it. Porsche enthusiast original owner, factory ordered, clear title in hand, no paint work, no accidents, & clean Carfax. Car was in Southern Orgeon and Bay Area California for most if it’s life. Just recently moved to Colorado. Car has been mostly set up for daily/DE use; but I’ve only done 3 DE’s and 1 A-cross with it, and it has been 3-4 years since it has been on the track. Was a daily car until a couple of years ago when it was retired to weekend use.
Factory Options: Midnight blue metallic exterior, black interior, 6 speed manual, sport seats, floor mats, sport steering wheel, fire extinguisher, and 18” Cayman S wheels. All original keys, manuals, brochures, accessories, and window sticker included.
Additional Upgrades: Softronic ECU tune with sport turned on, Milltek catback, IPD intake plenum, EVO Motorsports K&N intake, desnork, Bilstein PSS9 coilovers (lowered 25 mm), GT3 motorsports AOS, LN Engineering 2 qt sump extension, 3M tinted windows, GT3 brake ducts, Porsche OEM short shifter, Pagid yellow pads with dedicated rotors, & stock pads with dedicated rotors. Currently the Pagid set is installed. 19” Carrera Classic wheels with Bridgestone RE11 tires. Original 18” Cayman S wheels included with original (old) Michelin Pilot Sports. All original parts included with the car—suspension, shifter, wheels, exhaust, etc. (Shipping is buyer responsibility if you want the parts.)
Exterior Condition: Front 3M ½ clear bra was installed when new so most of the front end is still as from the factory. Front bra shows some rash when I hit a tire chunk (paint OK underneath) and the front spoiler lips show some bra/paint rash from curbs. No door dings. A few chip marks here and there but nothing major. Paint could probably use a polishing/buffing to make it perfect, but it looks very nice. Front bumper not drilled for the license plate. Wheels show very little rash just from tire changes. Some minor pitting on wheels from daily use. I'm the type of guy who always parks away from people so the car doesn't get damaged.
Interior Condition: Interior shows very little wear with some minor leather aging patina/creases. I did not overly apply leather conditioner so the leather shows more true to the original matte finish. No bolster wear as I was very careful getting in and out of the seat. Trunk and frunk carpets are all clean and well kept. I usually kept a towel on them to prevent wear to the carpet. New OEM floor mats. All interior buttons and switches do not have wear/paint chipping on them—this can be common on these cars.
Known issues: TPMS sensors need to be replaced. I was going to change them on the next tire change. Brake pad sensors not installed with the Pagid pads. (Brake light stays on.) Included for the stock pad set.
Major Maintenance history: Normal regular maintenance history with frequent oil changes. Oil just changed this May. I ran Mobile 0-40 and more recently Motul 5-40. Just smogged to register in CO. At around 38k I did the clutch, clutch slave, RMS, motor mounts, tie rods, and water pump. Water pump failed again(!) around 45k so it was replaced again with a new serpentine belt. Battery was replaced within a year or so. Brakes show plenty of life; tires are ~ 50%. Car runs and drives fine. No leaks. Everything except the TPMS sensors work. Records will be included.
Reason for Sale: Don’t need to sell, but I recently bought a 997.2 twin turbo so I’m trying to clear some garage space and concentrate on that. I wanted to get it back onto track, but that hasn’t seemed to have happened for several years now,so it is time to allow someone else the opportunity.
Terms of Sale: Sold as is without a warranty. Local pick up or car & extra parts shipping cost is the responsibility of the buyer. Cash, wire transfer, or a cashier’s check I witness being drawn accepted. Wire transfer funds must clear before car will be released. $500 deposit within 48 hours of auction completion. Final car payment within 7 days of auction end or timing per agreement. Shipping timing should be reasonable, but I can store for a bit in my garage if needed. I’m happy to assist with car shipping loading & pictures, but all arrangements are by the buyer. I’m only about 1 hour from Denver airport so a pretty easy fly in and drive out. I’d be comfortable driving the car across country. Please have funds and any spouse approval available prior to bidding. Only bid if you have funds and are serious! I'm not wasting your time, so please don't waste mine. Must have 10+ transaction experience with high approval rating. I have the right to cancel the auction at any time. Reasonable reserve has been set.
