2002 PORSCHE BOXSTER S 986 6-SPEED MANUAL
Well what to say …. I had wanted a Porsche from a very young age and then a few years ago the stars aligned themselves. I was travelling mostly on my own, (kids with licences) and then a change in job with no company car gave rise to the need to buy a means of transport. And what better way to travel than in a ride like this.
So 4 years ago I found myself living the dream in a Porsche Boxster S bought from a very proud 2nd owner with full Porsche service history. This car have given me a lifetime of fun in just 4 short years. The Great Apline Highway, Putty Road, Razorback Mountain and Thunderbolts Way just to name a few.
Now it is time to move on and tick something else off the bucket list, and someone else needs to get themselves into this fantastic ride.The Porsche Boxster S is the one to get. The bigger engine than the standard Boxster makes a huge difference in the enjoyability factor as does the pedal on the left… yes this is a real car ……with a 6 speed close ratio manual gearbox that is a dream to drive. It will reach “lose your licence speeds” in something stupid and it corners like a go kart. With leather seats, steering wheel and gear knob, front and rear fog lamps, 18 inch alloy wheels, 4 airbags, remote central locking, power mirrors, power steering, upgraded sound system with Bluetooth and Brembo 6 spot ABS brakes it has all the gear you need. Front and rear boots with enough room for 2 cabin size bags in the front and the golf clubs in the back, pretty good for a sports car. Oh and it’s roof comes off, yes that image in your head is you cruising around with the top down on a summers day. In cool days you can take the rook off also, just put the heater on full bore and rear screen creates a wind break to keep you reasonable warm. Factory optional colour coded silver roll over hoops, centre console and gear lever as well as both the original keys.
Rego till May 2016, New rear Prielli tyres, brakes pads front & rear and brand new front brake rotors. Paint work is original and in great condition for its age, with only minor stone chips and some scuffing on the soft top from normal use, but that's normal and beside you don't see that when the roof is down. This midlife crisis item still has plenty of life to make you feel young again.
