1983 ROBINHOODSIERRASEVENSILVER/GREEN

The time has come to sell my beloved Robin Hood as I have done all the travelling and tours that I brought her for. This is a S7 Robin Hood. It has a stainless Steel tub and chassis, which will never rust. All Body panels are stainless except front nose cone and wheel arches. The car is fitted with a Ford RS2000 (genuine) engine that is regulary been serviced by my mechanic who drools over it!. The engine is fitted with a Vulcan cylinder head with large valves, a Kent road race cam, twin (twin 40) carbs, 4 into 1 exhaust with stainless pipes and can. There is electronic ignition. This is mated to a seirra 5 speed box. The front suspension is pushrod (formula 1) type with internal coil over shocks, and the rear has coil overs which are adjustable. So she goes and handles very well. Stopping is provided by front disc and rear drum, which are fine for such a light car (around 740kg) .The car does around 25 to 30mpg average, and is great fun to drive.
Bodywork has a couple star crazes and dings on the stainless panels, but the overall condition is eyecatching, and it draws attention anywhere we go. There is full wet weather hood and doors, which work reasonably well, although this is a fair weather car designed for driving in the sunshine.
There are no known faults mechanically, and she drives very well, having given no problems to me at all. The previous elderly owner had this car for many years and cherrished it, as I have done. We have done some touring abroad, and its a fantastic car when being driven in the sunshine with the hood off.
I am selling as am intending doing some motorcycle touring this year, as have just retired. The car has all old M.O.T, s verifiying mileage and a small history folder.
