You’re about to bid on one of the most sought after Shelby GT500 fastback built and restored in a «concours» condition. All numbers match, known history, fully documented, the real thing with less than 80 000 actual miles and off course in the Shelby Registry.
Shelby’s Registry description
2853 GT 500 Completed 7/5/67 and shipped to Cadiz Motor Co (Cadiz, KY) A «Z» precedes the Shelby VIN previously owned by Miles Weinmann (Champaign, IL) ’71 form Packey Webb Ford (Wheaton ,IL) used car lot for $2,495. It is believed to have had only prior owner (not known) Purchased by third owner John Schilsky (Springfield, IL) ’00-’08. Shilsky advised the SAAC in’08 that he was putting the car for sale. The car was sold at the Barret Jackson auction (Scottsdale, AZ) 1/08. The car was sold to Paul Waterworth (Jupiter, FL) then sold to the present owner in ’13 after a professional inspection/appraisal.
Note that the car sold for 209 000$ in ’08 and was appraised at 215 000$ in ’13 before purchase.

The magazine reported the sale of Shelby no 2853 at Barret Jackson for the sum of 209 000 $ US dollars. It was described as a very nice driver that was driven and enjoyed. It was then restored professionally and was then appraised before last purchase by the present owner for the sum of 215 000$ in 2013.

Original 428 engine with C6 automatic transmission. BJ/BK Carbs/C7ZX intake rebuilt with less than 500 miles. Original wood-wheel, roll bar and harnesses. Original stainless and restored chrome dash and door inserts. Original 10-spokes restored by Cobra Automotive. Original jack and lug nut wrench, owner's manual. Show quality paint. An original Lime Gold car. Extensive documentation including "add-delete" sheet and original sales invoice from previous owner. Listed in the Shelby Registry. Payment terms will be discussed with winner bidder (bank wire is the fastest and easiest option). Of course, serious bidders only. Full payment before shipping the vehicle or before to trailer it back home. The vehicle is not mine, I am listing it for a private party.
All sales are FINAL. You can come over and inspect the car if you wish though, we have a local airport (YQB) and I can pick you up.
CUSTOMS AND OTHER FEES INVOLVED
FOR USA BUYERS, a 350 USD fee applies for US broker and additional fees for customs bond based on sale's price. If you pick it up, those fees disappear. Either way, we may provide you with required docs to cross border and/or register the car. Duties and or taxes may apply
FOR CANADIAN BUYERS, there are no fees involved other than shipping and your provincial or harmonized sales tax.
OTHER COUNTRIES BUYERS, please check with your local customs and motor vehicle bureau for the fees involved at your end, I can get a couple rates to take it to your preferred sea port including export paperwork.

Shipping that kind of vehicle in an enclosed (53’ trailer dry box ) from Quebec city (Canada) to New York State is about 1000$, to Florida 1800$/2000$, to Texas, about 2100/2500$ and to California, about 2600/3000$. If you have a carrier of your own, we can work that out tooNaturally various specialized enclosed car transporters are also available but at a higher cost according to location.
