Description

1997 Toyota Land Cruiser FJ80 4x4 40th Anniversary special edition. A diesel Land Cruiser has always been a dream of mine and I looked forever to find a nice one that was still clean and rust free. I also didn't want some hacked together swap. This one was definitely done nicely. Times have changed and so have interests so I figured I would part ways with this one. Motor was swapped out about 5 years ago to a Isuzu 4BDT1 turbo 4cyl diesel and a 700R4 trans. These motors are well known for working great in a Land Cruiser for fitment over the cummins. This one has an upgraded turbo and has had a ton of money invested into it making it the perfect all around vehicle. See below for build list. It has no trouble with acceleration or running highway speeds. I've personally driven this thing on a 1200 mile trip without any problems. Parts are very easy to source from any GM dealer. This vehicle was kept in the south almost it's whole life and it definitely shows. NO rust anywhere and the frame/undercarriage is still mostly all black. The body is in very good overall condition with a few minor scratches and dings here and there. The paint still shines great. Rooftop was painted a few years ago with an automotive flat black to protect from the southern sun. 40th Anniversary special edition two tone leather interior. The front seats are brand new from LandCruiserHeaven. The rear two seats are in decent shape with a few stains here and there and minor wear. They look pretty nice still when cleaned up. The carpet and headliner have some stains. I didn't shampoo it, just vacuumed it for the pictures. I'm sure a lot of them will come out with a good shampoo. I've also got a full set of mats for it. Center console was replaced with a custom made unit and has built in EGT and Boost gauges. There are no idiot lights on the dash. Speedometer, ODO, and cruise are all there but haven't been hooked up. It comes with the Dakota Digital DSL-1E tach sender and GPS50-2 speedometer sensor w/ antenna to hook all that up. I just haven't got around to ever doing it. The A/C is all there and hooked up. It worked until recently. I think it just needs a charge but not positive (typically charge it once a year). The gaskets were all replaced on the motor but it has a few seeps here and there, nothing major. It has an Alpine Double DIN CD/DVD/Nav unit that works great. See build list below. No expense was spared and the best parts were always used that could be bought. Has Nitto Terra Grappler 285/75/16 (33" tall) tires in excellent condition on factory alloys.
Isuzu 4BDT1 diesel motor (has been for approx 20k miles), was told motor and trans have around 125,000 miles on them.
