This daily driver of mine although not perfect, has been gorgeously restored. It was originally built in Japan for the USA and the standards at that time. This is not an FJ that was pieced together or imported from South America or some other country. I am the 3rd owner of this FJ40. She's spent her life in UT, CO and now Phoenix, AZ. Re-painted factory correct PPG basecoat clearcoat "Freeborn Red". The Body was removed from the frame and painted along the under-body to match, New quarter panels and Rear sill plate were installed all body panels were removed and either soda blasted or sandblasted. Any rust was removed and new mater installed. All body panels painted inside and out to match, POR-15 was applied to any areas that are prone to corrosion. Reassembled using new zinc colored hardware
New gray upholstery installed on the front bucket seats/rear jump seats & new factory style headliner installed as well. Includes OEM factory tool kit, jack, jack rods and front/rear floor-mats. She also retains all OEM smog equipment including a rebuilt smog pump. Original motor w/122k miles runs great. Front and rear differential fluids flushed,transmission & transfer case fluid flushed w/Gl4 gear oil. Clutch and brake system flushed newer 31x10.50 Hankook tires. New front and rear shocks.
New complete exhaust system, rebuilt factory Aisin carburetor. All electrical items work as they should. This FJ40 retains much of the factory parts, appearance and style.
Dozen of items were powder coated to match factory colors and will provide long life with minimal maintenance. This truck is a show stopper!
