1980 Triumph Spitfire

Bought in 2010.
Lots of work has been done by professionals on it and now husband is not able to enjoy. He still starts it every few days and it's in the garage.
Only minor projects remain like speedometer cables, it has a noisy water pump, and it has a new lighting harness and lights work but something is incorrectly connected.
A $3K professional paint job, a long list of repairs/renovations totaling over $9K!
She's a joy to drive and would be a fun hobby car for the right person.
Yes, the title says it is a 1980 model even though some say that year didn't exist.
We do not think the car was ever wrecked.
Buyer will need to trailer home because the water pump is noisy and speedometer does not properly work.
Original jack and bag are with the car as is a second new ragtop.
There is no rust, there is no evidence that rust ever existed.
One of the first time my husband drove it, the clutch caught on fire. He quickly pulled back to the house and put out the fire, the engine
did not appear to be effected. He still starts it every few days and drives it up and down our lane. That's why it was repainted because
the bonnet was singed. The man who painted the car is a local, Ross Williams, Iuka, Illinois. We had it painted and then were thinking
there wasn't much to be done. Then two repair shops had a go at replacing everything! She should be ready for a mechanically
inclined person to make totally road worthy.

Many of the repairs were because nothing had been done to the car in almost 30 years, the people we purchased it from had made several
road trips of several hundred miles each.
