Description

Solid Rust free Florida car with 327 Chevy engine and Automatic Transmission, Power Windows. Vehicle is in over all good condition with only one small dent on top of front fender. Comes with both soft and hard top. Interior is in great condition and even has "New Car" smell, but does have little wear on seat piping due to seatbelts. Car has been sitting since last started about a year ago, but gas was drained out and will need the new brakes installed. New brake parts are included as they do not last in British cars if they sit for any length of time. An extra hood/ bonnet is available along with original engine and transmission if winning bidder wants. Engine has four barrel carb on it as did the corvettes of the 1960's, engine was originally from 1966 Camaro or Chevelle with so much more power than original engine. I have a two barrel carb and manifold if you don't want the four! The AC has not been checked so I can not say how good it works after sitting. I am trying to describe this car to the best of my knowledge, but I am not an expert on it. I am just getting too old to keep all my toys so I am letting go of my dreams and letting someone else finish and enjoy them. Even though the car looks great and engine was redone to accept todays fuel. (Non-Lead) it is being sold as is and where is due to age. I will try to answer any question if I can.
There were only 26,000 of these cars made in the 7 years of production and only about 2800 shipped to the US. With them becoming more scares the demand is high and so is the value as in the UK the sell for as much as $26,00 to $39,000 USD. Parts are still available as they used many of the same parts the TR6 used, and places like Moss motors and other sell them in the states. There are also places in the UK that have plenty of parts if you want to restore a car like this. But the main thing is getting a solid rust free car to start with. That's the hard part! This is about the best one you'll find. Don't let it slip through your fingers!
