Description

1973 Triumph TR-6 with only 48,000 original miles, as read on the speedometer. This was the last year of the pure TR-6's and had the more attractive chrome bumpers without the rubber safety bumpers mandated after 1974.
This car appears to have its original paint, interior, and top, which is showing a little wear, but is still more than serviceable. It has the top cover (tonneau) and the snap-in cover for the interior while driving, which zips down the middle to allow the driver to stay warm in colder weather. Heater works well and all gauges, lights and controls work as they should. I believe that it is unique in that it has NO rust of any kind, anywhere. It certainly does not look 50+ years old.
It recently had a complete tune-up with all new plugs, wires, points, fan belt, wiper blades, etc. The car runs and drives very well, has very adequate power from its 2.5 liter six-cylinder engine, has a 4-speed transmission, without overdrive and will give years of faithful service.
The paint shows a little flaking on the driver's rear wing but that would be an easy fix. I believe it was scratched and repaired earlier in the car's life. I never bothered as it didn't really show. Car gets a lot of attention and has placed well at shows. Very hard to find an original Triumph that hasn't been messed with. This is one that exudes originality, right down to the original Rally wheels. I have looked at the others for sale on eBay ranging up to $29,000 and I don't think you will find a better one, anywhere.
Recently driven over 1,200 miles on a road trip and performed flawlessly. Gets over 25 mpg on the highway. I accept all forms of payment that will clear my bank and the car is stored in a climate-controlled garage until you can arrange shipping. You can fly in and drive it home. It's that dependable!
A $500.00 deposit is required at close of auction to insure your good intentions to purchase the car. I will certainly coordinate with your shipper for pickup. I do not and will not use PayPal. Balance due within 7 days and I prefer wire transfer because of all the "funny" cashier's checks out there.
