Amazing little car that's had just had over £4000 spent on her and returned to me last 07/08/2015. She was with BMW BroadOak in Canterbury for 6 days. I'm happy for people to use the registration plate to make enquiries of the work carried out Canterbury BroadOak (01227 828888) so you can investigate the amount of work that has gone into this vehicle prior car visits.

This engine (N47) has a common BMW fault on the timing chain at the back of the engine that snaps due to the tensioner giving up and creating slack in the chain.
All work carried out by BMW:
New Head gasket replaced
New Head bolts
Fresh service
New oil sump pan
4 x New injectors that cost £2000
New special modified timing chains by BMW
All 3 timing chains replaced
Tensioners also replaced
Car has age related marks
So there you have it, this engine now no longer has worries about the timing fault which is a massive and very costly job and is now happy to run for many years to come. I think due to this and the specific work that's been carried out. This car will be extremely reliable yet very cost effective and worth every penny.
