Description

For sale is a ultra rare 1953 Buick Skylark custom convertible. What you are looking at is a survivor custom car that started life as a rare (one of 1690) Buick Skylark. It is about as wild looking a car as has ever been made. The front is a graft from a 1958 Lincoln Continental and the rear is a 1958 Cadillac Eldorado. The car turned out incredibly cool and was truly a product of 1959. Most cars that were custom show cars like this one met unfortunate fates. This car ended up as a magazine cover car and luckily survived (I have the magazines that come with it). 1953 Buick Skylarks are extremely valuable cars in their own right (check on line). What is a one of one custom version worth? This car fortunately made its way to California and is virtually rust free (look at the floors and the underneath photosincredible). It is not a running caryetbut is mostly complete. It is missing the convertible top bows. It comes with new wire wheels, new white wall tires, a new windshield and windshield gasket. Many extra parts are included. I also have a set of new 1959 Cadillac tail lights that come with it. I welcome anyone who is interested in this car to come and look at it in person. Can you imagine showing up in this at a Good Guys car show or how about a Cars and Coffee? Check out the phone on the dash that is amazingly still there and the Lincoln gage set up. Please call with any questions (my phone number is in the last picture). I had planned to save this to restore in the future but am now in the process of starting a new home build which will take all of my time for the next several yearsotherwise it would not be for sale. It is being sold as is where is and because it is a used carit is sold without a warranty. It currently is being sold with a bill of sale (because the title was missing) but I have taken it to the Arizona Motor Vehicle Division and was advised that once the windshield is installedan inspection will be permitted and a title can be issued. Thanks for taking the time to take a look. I
