Description

1954 CHEVROLET STATION WAGON HANDYMAN MODEL 210 4 DOOR RARE & RESTORABLE CONDITION RAT ROD Up on this auction is a used but very RARE 1954 Station Wagon (SW) Handyman model 210 which GM built only 27,175 of these cars and because of the variety of use these station wagons there are very few to still be in existing. This car does NOT run and is NOT road worthy as it currently sits. This car is in restorable condition or could be street rodded or rat rodded. Some of the sheet metal is good and some needs minor to major rust repair. I would best estimate that over 90% of the parts are included in this auction including the station wagon specific parts. The original frame, engine and transmission is included but condition unknowned. The original engine is a straight 6 cylinder 235 CI engine and 2 speed power glide transmission. This SW was from the Georgia & Tennessee area with a 1969 Georgia State License plate and currently has the CLEAR Michigan paperwork title in my name. The true GM VIN & Cowl Tags are attached in the correct locations. The VIN tag number is B54A029319 which breaks down to B for model 210, 54 for 1954, A for Atlanta, GA manufacturing plant and the sequence number of 029319 which GM started with 001001. The car trailer is NOT included in this auction nor is it available for purchase! BODY-TRIM-GLASS: This Station Wagon has some of the sheet metal in surprisingly good condition but some of the sheet metal will need some minor to major rust repairs and/or metal replacement panels. The inner side rockers will need to be replaced and some repairs to the outer rockers. The panel behind the rear tires are usually totally rusted out but these will only need some minor repairs. Around the front of the rear tires and above are in good condition. Most of the doors will need some bottom cans replaced except for the right rear door. The 4 door Sedan could be a good donor doors but remember only up to the middle trim is the same. The station wagon doors are different as well as the door handles. The doors open and close freely but do sometimes need to be forced open because of needing some final adjustments. The rear bumper, splash pan and bumper brackets are attached and correct for the SW. The front bumper, brackets, headlight bezels and grill are in good condition. The front fenders, hood and front splashpan have been replaced with much better sheet metal but will still need some minor repairs. All of the stainless steel chrome trim is included except for no fender trim. Most of the glass is in good usable condition with a small hole in the front windshield that could be repaired. INTERIOR-FLOORS: The SW has a some areas of the floor that is in good condition and others will need floor panel replacement installed. The driver and passenger side front floor will need to be replaced but the toe board and the hump areas appear to be in good condition. The driver side and passenger side rear floors would only need some small replacement panels installed. Under the rear seat and the cargo areas appear to be in good condition. Almost all of the dash board parts are included and are shown in the loose part pictures. The original ignition and key is included. All of the garnish moldings are included and the wagon has the 210 door panel stainless steel trim. The front seat appears to be in good condition as well as the rear seat cushion but would need new fabric. The rear seat BACK is missing and one would be needed. The heater and controls are included but condition is unknown. The side and roof supports and sheet metal are in very good condition. The 9 headliner rods are included as well as the station wagon specific rear cargo area garnish moldings. TAILGATE/LIFTGATE: The tail gate will need some major rust repair but all the hardware is included. Also needing rust repair or replacement is the area that the tail gate rest upon. The lift gate is in very good condition and does include the rear glass but is not pictured. The spare tire tub will need some rust repair. DRIVELINE: The engine is a power glide 235 cubic inch straight six that is seized and will need to be replaced. The engine seems complete and can be used for spare parts. This station wagon is a power glide equipped car and still retains the original transmission and all of the hardware. Being a power glide car also means that the rear end is the more desirable 3:55 rear end ratio. The condition of the transmission, shifter, rear end and brakes are unknown but everything turns and moves freely. The gas lines, gas tank and break lines are all in the unknown condition. FRAME: The station wagon frame appears to be in VERY good condition with being solid and the usual rust areas are solid such as the rear cross member, the K member, the transmission crossmember and all the body mounts seem to also be very solid. The rear end is correct for the power glide cars and turns freely. LOOSE PARTS: I have included probably everything needed for the specific parts to the station wagon to complete this car. I have several pictures showing the loose parts in more detail and many more pictures are available for the asking. The loose parts that are pictured include: all missing stainless steel trim in good condition (except for the fender trim which is not included), the liftgate & garnish molding, the left & right rear cargo garnish moldings, above the liftgate garnish molding, rear seat back trim, rear seat brackets, 4 each 1954 210 dog dish hub caps, interior sun visors, dash board parts, headliner rods and other miscellaneous parts. Also included but not pictured is the used rear liftgate glass. NO WARRANTY IS MADE WHATSOEVER. SOLD AS IS - THIS A USED VEHICLE. This station wagon is listed on eBay with no reserve but is also listed for sale locally. Once there is a bid than the car is no longer available locally and will only sell on eBay. I will remove the listing if sold before a bid is made and I reserve the right to do so. I just like to see all of my many eBay friends have a chance at some of these older restorable vehicles become available. It should be considered as a restoration vehicle but could be restored to original or be street rodded, rat rod or could be used for parts. The car does NOT run and is not road worthy. I might be able to deliver this car from my zip code 48441 to around the Cleveland, Ohio area very soon. BUT we need to discuss this before the auction closes. SOLD AS IS WHERE IS - WE HAVE THE CLEAR APPROPRIATE PAPERWORK ALSO. I have many pictures of this SW so if you want more pics or info, just drop me a note. No added charge if you pick this up. WE'LL HELP YOU LOAD IT RIGHT UP ON A TRAILER. PLEASE LOOK AT OUR OTHER AUCTIONS!
