1969 Camaro COPO Replica Numbers Matching 427 425 HP 4 Speed
Correct Hugger Orange with Black Interior 1969 Camaro Build Code: Build date 6 1 (June 01-07, 1969) X44 72 Paint (Hugger Orange) 711 Interior (Black Standard)
Options: 427 4 Bolt Engine with Factory 425 Horse Power, M21 Muncie 4 Speed, Heavy Duty 12 Bolt all matching numbers, Power Steering, Power Disc Brakes, F41 Functional Cowl induction, 7000 RPM Factory tach with center fuel gage and Radio Delete plate. This is a numbers matching COPO Replication. (Very difficult to identify as a replica).
This COPO is a Numbers Matching complete disassembly/assembly nut and bolt restoration completed in late 2005 and driven only enough to maintain driveability. That is impossible to tell from a dealership delivered COPO Camaro in 1969. (See part Number and date codes listed below.) This Camaro is a national level competitor.
This 1969 Camaro is arrow straight with outstanding Hugger Orange Base Coat/Clear Coat. Steel Cowl Induction Hood, Solid original doors, front and rear spoilers. The undercarriage was stripped, scaled, primed, sanded and correctly finished just like the rest of the car body. All 6 pieces of glass are brand new with the door and qtr. Glass is the correct tint. All Chrome on the car is new. The trim, lenses and weather stripping are all new. At the time of restoration rear Quarter Panels were installed with outer wheel wells and trunk pan. The sheet metal work was performed by one of the best in the business and the end product shows it. The paint matches the Firewall tag which is Hugger Orange. Correct Coded Steel Wheels were blasted, scaled, primed and painted the same Base Coat Clear Coat inside and outside, Show Quality poverty hub caps and factory Goodyear 4 ply Polyglass Tires complete the spectacular exterior of this COPO. The door jambs, sill plates, hinges, etc. are finished just like the exterior of the car.
The interior is black standard interior that is beautiful. The seats, dash, door panels, kick panels, carpet, gauge cluster, headliner and package tray are all excellent.
The trunk is perfect and finished with the correct trunk spatter paint. The undercarriage is extremely detailed which reflects the finished black floor pans, new brake and fuel lines, new gas tank, correct 5 leaf multi leaf springs, KYB gas a just shocks, restored 12 bolt rear end, rebuilt and refinished Muncie 4 speed, Original restored Hurst Shifter, correct Big Block transmission cross member, professional rebuilt Power Steering Box with correct finish, all new bushings, ball joints, steering components, gold anodized caliper brackets and new front disk brake rotors. Correct Heavy duty Sway Bar and bushings. The front sub frame and control arms were powder the correct black finish. The exhaust system is the correct Chambered exhaust and hangers installed by a professional shop that polishes all welds and assures best in show of their work.



Under the hood there is a correct numbers matching 427 - 425 Horse Power engine complete with a 4 bolt main block stamped T0514MN (no vin on this block). Factory steel crank, Pistons are 11-1 compression with correct solid lift cam. There was no expense spared in the machine work, balancing, parts and assembly of the engine. The heads were completely disassembled machined for new Stainless Steel Valves, Springs, Retainers Seals/locks. The heads are the correct Square port heads. The Aluminum intake is the correct square port. The cam shaft is the correct Solid Lift L72 specification, solid lifters have been replaced with anti-pump ups, and roller tip rockers have been added for driveability, all original parts are included
The Carburetor is a new holly manufactured 4 barrel 3959164 4346 780 CFM HOLLEY. The 427 runs fantastic! (See all part numbers and dates listed below.)
The Engine was built by one of the best in the business - Wells Racing in Dallas Texas.
The radiator is the correct curved neck 4 core heavy duty. Factory Functional Cowl induction provides the required amount of air flow for the required engine performance.
The numbers matching Muncie M 21 was completely disassembled, cleaned, inspected and rebuilt. It looks brand new and shifts like it did in 1969.
The 12 Bolt Rear end was completely disassembled, cleaned, inspected and rebuilt using a new 4 series posi carrier, 410 gears, new bearings and seals. The gear setting was performed to the correct specifications. The brakes and hardware are all new.
The rear suspension was restored using all new springs, bushings and parts. The 4 shocks are KYB gas a just which provide for an excellent ride. The tires are the correct Goodyear Polyglass 4 ply 14 F 70.
All the wiring harnesses are brand new factory reproduction harnesses.
The Sub Frame, Control Arms, Inner Fenders, Radiator Support, Bumper Brackets, and other Brackets etc. have been powder coated the correct black finish.
Rotisserie Restoration was performed by one of the best shops in the business.
