1971 Corvette Convertible
You are viewing a nice 71 Corvette convertible in original condition. The car was purchased in 2003 and rarely used with under 1K miles driven since the car was purchased. The odometer shows 17,981 (117,981). The car has been stored indoors since purchased in 2003.
Please read on for more particulars of the car:
Body/Paint: The car was painted its original color in 2004, with the body and paint in excellent condition. Vacuum operation works well for the wipers and headlights. A couple small chips on the paint. Passenger side back of door edge as well as behind the driver’s seat on the deck lid edge.
Interior: The interior is original with the exception of the door panels, carpet and seat covers replaced. Factory AC car that has been converted to r134a as told by previous owner, but has never been filled. It is believed the AC system is in good working order other than it is not charged at this time. Tilt column, power brakes and power steering. New seat belts come with the car, but not installed.
Top: The top was replaced by previous owner just prior to purchasing in 2003. It is in excellent condition with new weather stripping. The window is clear and in great condition. Hard top comes with car, but is unrestored with original red paint with glass in good condition.
Running Gear: 350/270 hp engine, which has been rebuilt in 2004 and has less than 1K miles. Original carb as well as other components as stock. The transmission is a TH400 3 speed auto that has been entirely rebuild in 2003 with only 1,500 miles or less and original to the car. The rear end is stock and also has been rebuilt in 2004. Brand new battery just installed.
Suspension: All stock with new shocks as well as the front end rebuilt.
Brakes: Stock in good working order.
Exhaust: Stock in good working condition.
Options: AC, auto, tilt, PS, PB
What doesn’t work: The horn works intermittently.
Bright work: Bumpers are all newly rechromed. Remainder of bright work is original to the car in good overall condition with some small pitting in a few areas.
Glass: Windshield and driver’s side door replaced.
Wheels/Tires: Original rally wheels with nice tires that only have approximately 4K miles. 225/70/15’s. The caps and rings are original in good overall condition.
Summary: This is a very respectable solid car that runs and drives excellent. Perfect classic to drive and enjoy with out breaking the bank. This car represents a lot of value for the money.
