Description

Well heres my limo up for sale, it rarely gets driven now so I may as well pass it onto someone else to have some summer fun in.
I bought it myself for exactly that, cruising with my mates, family and kids and we've had alot of fun too. Driving through Maccas is always a laugh..
Its a proper conversion, with the usual luxury features as expected like full blue leather interior and electric everything. Aircon was re-gassed in December last year and is ducted through to the rear and works well.
Its based on a 1987 FE LTD. Its been repainted PPG white as it was scratched when I got it, and I had the side strips and bumpers color coded as well to give it a whole new fresh look a couple of years ago.
Its just the standard 4.1L 6 cyl engine and 3 speed auto with a dual fuel setup, but the engine has only done about 180,000km as the original was rather tired, so I bought a complete hail damaged low km fairlane and swapped the engine and box over to this.
The LPG tank was tested and stamped last year so theres over 9 years left on that too.
It drives so smooth its awesome. Ive driven it everywhere from Mt Gambier in SA, to summernats in Canberra and everywhere in between.
Its currently on Victorian Historic club plates and is not transferable so will be sold unregistered. You just need a RWC and its eligible to go back onto club plates again, and thats a mere $142 a year for 90 days of fun. How cheap is that?
Inspection can be arranged but if youre just looking and not actually serious dont bother, no free rides.
So whats wrong with it? well the cruise control doesnt work properly but that never bothered me, and I think theres a problem with the switches on the electric seats, sometimes they work and sometimes they dont, but once set its no problem either. Neither item is a roadworthy issue anyway. The exhaust has a small leak where the manifold meets the pipe but thats an easy fix, its just a gasket. And the seats have some signs of wear so could probably do with some nice leather conditioner on them, but theres no damage or cracks or anything like that. Maybe Im just being a bit fussy.
Apart from that its pretty good. Tyres are fine, suspension is smooth and noise-free - these models are known for squeaking suspension - and its very clean and presentable.
Best of all, you dont need a special license on club plates so anyone can drive it, even learners and its P plate legal too.
Payment strictly cash on pickup or cleared funds into my account before driving it away, Ive been caught before and with this amount of money I wont be taking any chances with any other payment method. No exceptions.
And dont offer me any swaps or make any low-ball offers either, as the response may offend you. I want the money to put towards another car. This limo is worth every cent Im asking, the new PPG paint alone cost nearly that.
But Ive had my fun, its someone elses turn.
