Possibly the second hand bargain of the year! Offers in excess £2300 for this absolute bargain Family Estate. I will let the auction run its course unless offered in excess of £2500.
MONDEO Edge Diesel Estate (2 owners) owned by me for last 6 years and serviced annually, using Ford for majority of services.
It has had the following spent recently (with receipts to prove):
New Clutch in 2016 costing £750
New Cam-chain and Dual Fly Wheel kit fitted Winter 2015, included new top half engine rebuild costing £999. An estimated 15,000 miles only done on this new engine! Vehicle mileage shown at 122,000 but this has not been reset since the engine rebuild.
Beware of buying a Mondeo with high mileage that has not had this work carried out!
New rear brakes and pads Autumn 2015 cost inc fitting £180
MOT until January 2017. Regularly serviced. Email is probably best to co-ordinate viewings, demos or test drives.
This car has had all the work done on it and I really do not want to sell but no longer use it due to needing to use an automatic.
The bad bits:
Some superficial scratching to the sides of doors, does not effect opening / closing of doors.
The electronic central locking on the passenger side has an intermittent fault but is fully operable manually.
That's it, total bargain first to see and drive will buy. Drives like new, cruise control averaging 50mpg on a frugal but very responsive Diesel Engine. An estate costing IRO £20,000 when new with many pricey jobs completed in recent months. Any test drive or AA / RAC mechanical inspection welcome.
