1967 Mustang convertible mild ‘resto’ build that is prepared for really top Driven Show with street performance in mind with the great cosmetic appearance from the base coat, clear coat with terrific luster, very, very top mechanicals Restored, air conditioning.
BODY: new door jam plates, weather stripping, original quarters, laser straight body, hood turn signals, new bumpers, new body emblems, rocker moldings, power top with new rear window, tinted glass, solid and red-oxided underchassis.
LIGHTING: upgraded expensive system with new LED sequential tail lights with new tail light bezels, front LED head lights,
INTERIOR: new wood factory steering wheel, new carpet with custom floor mats, Custom remote stereo system with kick panel speakers, new instrument bezel, custom console, new window handles, new Classic vintage Auto air conditioning with factory controls,
ENGINE: built 289 cid, 4v ceramic coated headers, aluminum intake manifold, new custom serpentine pulley system, a full tune just completed with new show Ford C5OZ spark plug wires, new Autolite copper core ‘45’ spark plug, the complete timing is set, strong dry reading compression from 135psi to 143psi across, see sheet for specs.
Racing oil/filter: Special Valvoline high performance VR1 20-50 high zinc oil is added along with new filter for engine protection, said oil gives the proper zinc for the lubrication of the engine, note this step is using the top racing quality oil that can only be used on engines without a catalytic converter,
BRAKING/SUSPENSION: new rack and pinion steering, new 4-wheel Wilwood disc brakes with drilled rotors, new 4 link rear suspension, new QA-1 A adjustable coil over shocks, driveshaft removed, balanced and reinstalled
UNDERCHASSIS: Here are the great solid floors of this great rare 1967 Mustang Convertible, they were protected with light undercoating when purchased by Fraser Dante, the soft black coating was taken off by hand showing the original red oxide, this was cleaned and then fresh red oxide applied, then cleared, really amazing condition for late 2018.
WHEELS: new Cobra “knock-off’ wheels, rears 225/40/18, front 255/40/18.
