Description
Tax Return Special! 1978 Ford Mustang II Coupe project car. Solid southern body, Alabama, fairly straight Mustang II. Clear Alabama Title.
Lots of original green paint. Paint wearing thin in spots and has/had random surface rust. Sanded and metal treated, primed with 2 part epoxy, roof, and tops of quarters, along with the trunk lid. Added a Cobra II hood scoop to the hood. Trunk lid has rust out that will need repaired or replace the lid, see pics. Back bumper also needs repaired or replaced.
This is a period correct engine that's in it that will need rebuilt, turns over easily with wrench. Carb mounting is blocked off, have a couple of carbs to pick from.
Have complete black interior in parts car, see pics, including dash heater/ac box, front and rear seats, console, door and rear quarter trim panels, etc. Fold-down rear seat which seems pretty rare for a coupe. Buyer will have to help with interior removal from parts car. Allow time to do this when planning your retrieval trip. This is a non running project car that we have collected parts for and have stored in car. Purchaser will get 1 of each of items we have to fit the II. Has factory aluminum slotted wheels.
