Description

I WILL TAKE $9,500 before next Wednesday 19th August 2015 otherwise I am going to put the car in storage for a few months because it's not worth selling any lower (in fact it pains me to put $9,500 on it)
If you want the car sent interstate, I'm happy to help you get it on a truck. You will need to do all the leg work, but I'm happy to meet the driver and hand it over etc.
CAR WAS REGISTERED UNTIL MID JUNE 2015. Wouldn't take much (if anything at all) to put it back on the road (pretty sure it wouldn't need anything, everything needed for rego works as far as I'm aware, I'm no expert though) Readvertised with more photo's etc that people were asking for. Sorry for the delay on these. Details below.
I have a spare transmission, clutch, carby and a few other bits and bobs to go with it. The engine has had a little work, high flow head, new spark's⁄leads etc. New exhaust, new carby and a few other bits and bobs. So it's running ok. Will need a transmission soon though, plus the clutch is best done at the same time. But the car comes with the parts to get the job mostly there.
I drove the car between Adelaide, Melbourne, Sydney, Wagga and all sorts and it’s been great. It does have a tendency to overheat in traffic when it’s hot though (over 30 degrees sitting in sydney's traffic isn’t good for it!) On the highway I didn’t have any issues. But pretty sure if you were to install a newer radiator (like a triple core or the like) and better fan that would fix that issue of sitting in traffic. Could even go an electric pump and that would definitely get it sorted.
The bad parts:
The driver’s side quarter has no lever and doesn’t lock.
The locks will probably need to be replaced. They're readily available from various sources (there a generic type lock). I priced them and never got around to doing it. I think Costcutters had them for about $40 a pair. I only have one key to the drivers side⁄passenger and also the fuel cap. No idea what I did with the one to the wagon split door.
The car is pretty old and has a bit of rust (out of 10 with 10 being bad, the car would be about 3). There are to my knowledge no holes or anything like that in panels⁄flooring etc. It’s in reasonable shape. The paint is ok, but no great and may need some love and care in the next few years.
There is a dent in the bonnet from a kangaroo I hit on the way home from work in Wagga. Bonnett still operated etc as per normal. Just a little dented/missing a little paint.
The interior is in good condition and had some work done not too long ago. The radio doesn’t work very well and the accelerator pedal isn’t on the car (although it’s in a box that will come with the car). Has been fitted with seat belts and they’re all good to go.
Electrics. As far as I know everything is ok on that front. The driving lights have been disconnected, the windscreen wiper blades aren’t original (but wipers work), they were thrown on to get it regoe’d and never came off, the blinkers, head lights, brake lights etc all work. Interior door light works.
There isn’t a lot more I can think of right at the moment. If there's more I will add it when I think of it
Thanks for looking.
