Description

Perfect track or fast road car. Many high performance upgrades - pictures are recent and of the actual car, as is.
Relisted only because of now a 3rd no-show, fake buyer with no money or consideration sorry to sound a little upset, but when you are selling something to pay medical expenses and people don't pay without ever even seeing the car; it is a bit heart-breaking and rather cruel. I am an honest person, the car is genuine, please only bid if you are too
B16A V-TEC motor professionally installed by a CRX specialist (and previously road registered with this motor). Motor has done approx. 50,000km since rebuild and installation.
Low kilometre car, only done 224,000km (less than 6,000km a year average when normal is 20,000km a year).
The car is being sold unregistered. The car was previously registered and driven on the road (but now expired). The longest trip it did was from Brisbane to Adelaide and back again. If you win, the previous registration certificate I have will come with the car.
MANUAL gearbox, nice short-shift for road or track.
Custom, mandrel-bent high-flow air intake and pod filter.
Performance exhaust system and tuned-length extractors fitted for high flow (great sound) but still OK for road use.
Stiffened and lowered sports suspension including rear sway bar fitted.
Sports wheels by CSA, 17 inch fitted with low profile Kumho Sport 215/40/17 tyres with lots of grip.
Full RARE racing body kit fitted (including lightweight fibreglass race bonnet) cost was over $3,500 just for the kit.
Professionally installed alarm/immobilizer with central locking by Cyclops - to protect it from thieves.
Power steering (rare factory option).
Factory air-conditioning fitted, but needs the controls to be hooked-up and gassed.
Colour is "Pearl Green".
Mechanical work just completed:
Because the car has sat for a bit, since my husband passed-away suddenly, I had it checked over by the local mechanic (a former race mechanic):
He removed the fuel tank and completely flushed the tank and fuel system. He replaced the fuel pump and filter. He cleaned the fuel injectors and fitted a brand new battery and put in fresh fuel. It started first go (as it always did) and when he test drove it he said it, "goes like a little rocket!" and it "chirped" between gears. You will know what that means better than me I am a lady in my late 70’s and drive an automatic car.
My husband was planning to turn the car into a track car as a surprise for our daughter-in-law, but he passed away suddenly before he could complete it - so it has had lots of work done to improve it for the track but has never been raced on one
The only things that I know might need some work are the clear coat is fading/flaking in a few places with two small patches of surface rust only (not holes) and the interior trim needs to be put back into place (my late husband was planning to fit a roll-cage, but then he got sick before he could begin making it – so none fitted; the interior is still standard).
Please understand I cannot give out any contact details as many of you wanted (it is against ebay rules and I only want to do the right thing). Please ask all and any questions here through ebay (I will answer honestly and as best I can). Car is being stored and must be collected from Eagle Heights, QLD. 4272. (Tamborine Mountain/Gold Coast area).
The winner has two options for payment/collection:
1. If sending a transport company to collect, payment is by internet transfer into my account (as per new ebay rules) and funds must be confirmed cleared before truck arrives.
2. If collecting in person, you may pay either by internet deposit or in cash when you come to collect the car. Winner to make contact within 24 hours of auction ending to arrange time for collection (my son is juggling two jobs at the moment).
It may be possible for my son to come and pick you up from your home and bring you to pick-up the car, so that (if you arrange "day registration") you could drive the car home - this would save you the effort of getting someone to drop you off. This will depend upon how far away you live and my son's rosters; but we will help if we can (this offer is not part of the sale). Of course, you may choose to collect it on a trailer or tow truck; I am sure you will know best.
Part of my late husband's much-loved collection, now being sold to raise money to support my daughter-in-law who is trapped in Japan and very sick in hospital with this terrible virus every dollar will make a difference to help pay her growing medical expenses
Thank you for bidding!
