We are Canadians and live in South West Province of Ontario Canada, just two hours East of Port Huron MI. The Van is registered as an Ontario Canada Registration. It can be registered in the US with a simple import registration process.
Built in Japan 98 Odyssey and Sold Originally New in the US near Grand Rapids Michigan. Vehicle bought by elderly US couple that wintered in Florida. We bought the vehicle June 23, 2006 with 95,642 Miles on Odometer from the original owners. Build Date is 09/1997. This is a US Vehicle, Odometer is in Miles. Accident Free. Owned only by Non-Smokers.
This has been the most reliable vehicle that we have ever owned. Impeccably maintained since owned. It was my wife’s daily driver and still in use. Very Low operating costs, with excellent reliability. There is a lot of miles and years left in this vehicle. This is the Classic of all Honda Minivans.
The vehicle has great diversity, easily accessible, four regular car doors for easy access.
We have used AMSOIL Lubricants throughout. Engine Oil, Oil Filter, Transmission Fluids, Brake Fluids, Coolant and Power steering Fluid since we owned.
We have only run 91 Octane gasoline from when we purchased, no ethanol fuel ever used.
This van has great drivability, good on gas. You can easily achieve 27 MPG US.
The Van drives flawlessly, with excellent drivability and still a pleasure to drive. Completely maintained and serviced from new. Whatever Service was due in maintenance manual was performed in timely fashion. Yes, The AC works very well, had new compressor 2015.
We take the van on US trips regularly with absolutely no worries. We have had been to St Louis, Louisiana, Philadelphia, Columbus OH, Lancaster PA in the past 12 months driving from Central West Ontario Canada.
Keyless Remote Entry, Honda Security System, Car Starter, Rear Factory HVAC and Heater system. We have the original 1998 Honda Odyssey Brochure that came with the van.
Four Captain’s Chairs, Middle Two Captain’s Seats are removable for cargo hauling with third row rear fold down seats that holds two with seat belts.
The Paint and Body would be 8 out of 10. The van has been undercoated by Krown Undercoating every year since 2006. It has been detailed by a professional detailing shop Fall and Spring since we owned. There has been minor surface corrosion on wheel wheels, detailing shop used touch up paint to beautify the surface. You can see from the photos. There is no internal body corrosion.
Auto Transmission Serviced at regular intervals. Most recent Transmission Service in August 2017. New Oil Change and Filter Aug/2017 with AMSOIL Synthetic Fluids and Filters used from new. Complete 4 Wheel Brake Service, New Calipers/Rotors/Pads including Emergency. New Synthetic Brake Fluid Flush New Battery May/2017 Power Steering Fluid Purge. New Coolant Service. Fuel Filter Replaced. Air Filter Replaced. Spark Plugs Replaced New Distributor Cap/Rotor and Spark Plug Wiring A/C Blows Cold and works flawlessly. AC Compressor and Dryer replaced 2015. Just installed, 4 Brand New Michelin Defender 205/70R15 A/S Tires Less than 1000 Miles.
