Description

This is a great '49 Hudson for a restoration. It was parked inside a building in 1980 and remained there until now. It is a 1949 Commodore, identical to the one in "Driving Miss Daisy", of all things. The body is sound and problem free, save for a few spots that show in the pictures. Floors have a modest bit of rust, but are not holed. Has the key in the switch. It is 99% complete and original (missing the fender skirts and a few pieces of lower trim see the photos). The pictures tell it all. Steering wheel is shot. Has an extra set of hubcaps in the trunk (a bit rusty), along with a extra rear glass. Original upholstery. Underneath is quite sound, solid inner fenders will clean up nicely. Appears that nothing has ever been done to the car. It was 'running' when parked. I have had it for only a month. I hesitate to slam the hood closed, for I am not sure how releasing it is done on these Hudsons, therefore the hood is not firmly closed in the photos. It can sit here for as long as it takes, as long as it is paid for within 10 days. I prefer cash, but can take credit cards or Paypal if you insist. I have a new, clear New Mexico title in my name. I am located in Belen, New Mexico, 35 miles south of Albuquerque. I can be reached at 505-948-0571 if you have questions
