2000 JAGUAR XK8 COUPE AUTO BLACK

for sale my xk8, only done 3 thousand miles since i have owned it since dec 2012, the only reason i am selling is i no longer have a garage to keep it in and parking it on the street seems to attract brainless lowlifes as it was only on the street 2 nights before some towrag ran a key down the passenger side causing a light scratch down the length of the car.It is a 2000 reg car so if you are looking for a mint condition motor read no further.
I would say it is in average condition for its age, It has service history up to 92770 miles and i have had the oil and filter changed every 1500 miles since i have owned it. The previous owner for some strange reason made the car look like an xkr by replacing the bonnet with an xkr one with the vents in it and a boot lid with the little spoiler on it he had even put an xkr badge on the rear and sides of the car(suppose it was cheaper than buying a real xkr) of course with it being an xk8 it does have it,s little eccentricities such as, the windows sometimes need resetting(an easy thing to do) the computer likes to give you a little scare now and again by throwing odd warnings up on the display(usually down to the fact that if the battery is not fully charged due to it not being driven often) occasionally it will tell you that the gearbox has a high temperature but it has done this since i have owned the car and after checking with other xk8 owners on the jag forum it has never bothered me as many xk8 owners have the same warning which goes away on its own.
when i brought it out of the garage it had developed a fault that was caused by the throttle body which has been replaced and all is now well. the other problem was that the roof lining had sagged badly so that has been replaced with a new one at a cost of £230.
the leather interior is good condition with only the passenger side door card needing a retaining clip replaced and a small repair on the drivers side bolster and of course the rear seats are like brand new due to the fact that you can only carry rear passengers if they have no legs,
as stated earlier if you are looking for mint condition car this is not for you.
If you want to come and have a look just message me and if you want to test drive the car bring proof of insurance and a large deposit with you as 8 years ago whilst on a test drive in a car i was selling the driver crashed into a lamp post and i was left with a bill for the lamp post and a car that had to sold as scrap and a court appearance.
