Description

Regretfully listing my solid, California rust-free 1995 LandRover Range Rover Classic, a rare, original LWB ( Long wheelbase) vehicle. This RangeRover is the most sought-after Classic year model, with the desirable one-year-only Revised interior. Only year made with the rare Soft dash.
Unfortunately, I am looking at an upcoming deployment yet again, and I do not wish to just leave this Classic sitting for a year. So I am looking for a Land Rover enthusiast to take ownership of this vehicle.
It's not really much about the money, as much as to find a fellow Land Rover aficionado that will truly enjoy tinkering with this LWB Classic.
Solid, completely rust-free TWO-OWNER California Land Rover, residing here most of its life since being purchased from Land Rover of Little Rock, AR in 1995 as a European import ( not a NAS Range Rover). It was purchased by a gentleman in Carmel and relocated to his Estate fifteen years ago. It has resided up here in the Northern CA Bay area since.
This Classic is completely original, exactly as it was originally built, right down to the super-rare one-year-only factory revised interior with the desirable soft dash. Approximately 167K original miles ( it was a European vehicle imported into the U.S, thus it still reads in KMs), low for a Land Rover.
It starts immediately, idles and drives flawlessly, quietly and smoothly on both town and on the highway, with no leaks or smells.
There is NO rust nor corrosion on this vehicle anywhere as it would be expected from a California-lived Range Rover ( hard-pressed condition to find in any Land Rover beyond the Sierra mountains). BEWARE OF RUST BUCKETS COMING FROM THE EAST COAST~! ( it's beyond me why anyone would want to buy an East coast car with potential hidden rust ).
This Classic LWB comes fully equipped with all County Edition features such as:
* Chrome front and rear bumpers
* One-year-only soft dash
* Updated interior
* Moon roof
* 16" CYCLONE alloys
* Factory Towing package with electrical outlet
* HELLA 520 auxiliary lights
I have performed a thorough servicing of this Classic ( as I had not planned on selling it), and have also serviced and replaced many items, to include:
* Complete oil change with SHELL Rotella 15W40 oil
* Complete transmission service with KENDALL fluid and fact. kit
* Complete coolant service ( to include a new thermostat) with PENTOSIN
* New Power-steering pressure line
* Two NEW BOSCH O2 sensors
* New tie rod ends
* Two new catalytic converters
* New Power steering pump
* New fuel filter
* NEW radial tires front and rear
* NEW rear brakes
* Complete differential drain, flush and refill with REDLINE
* Complete transfer case drain, flush and refill with REDLINE
* Complete brake flush and refill with CASTROL DOT-4
* NEW MANN Air filter
* NEW spark plugs
* NEW heavy-duty spark plug wires
* A/C recharge
* Two new window regulators
* NEW headliner from end to end
* NEW battery
* NEW GATES water pump
Most standard features and amenities available at time of production. Clean factory 16" Cyclone alloy wheels, along with a really-nice set of radial tires mounted on them ( with approximately 95% tread remaining).
Stock 4.2L engine ( only available for 3 years and only in the LWB) runs excellent. As it is well documented in all Land rover circles, the 4.2 motor was a vast improvement over the earlier 3.9 engines as it was more robust and had more torque as a result of engine redesigning to increase displacement to a more efficient, reliable motor.
NO overheating issues, ticking nor noises to contend with. NONE.

Automatic transmission shifts well into all gears; it was replaced with a rebuilt unit five years ago. Four-wheel Power disc brakes brake smoothly without pulsation. Power steering, Power windows ( all four work), Power mirrors, Power seats ( both work), cruise control, aftermarket CD player and cold A/C.
Transfer case and differentials engage smoothly and precisely, without noises, crunching or sloppiness.
Finish is still in its original Roman Bronze factory paint color, with NO hood or roofline fading nor oxidation of the clearcoat ( common ailment on all Range Rovers). Still shines quite nicely.
The body, chassis, undercarriage and every single angle and seam are super solid considering this Classic is twenty two years young !
This original Range Rover LWB Classic is being sold unrestored and untouched, except for necessary maintenance and service which has already been performed, and the minimal cosmetics touches which have also been addressed.
Its original Conolly tan leather upholstery is in very good condition and has held up very well. There are no cracks or tears on any of the leather bolsters in the seats. No rips, tears or seam splits. CLEAN headliner with new dome lights. Overall, a very clean original interior, door panels and factory original carpeting. MINT dash.
The photos show the LWB accurately. NON SMOKER vehicle, ever. A very solid, rust-free unrestored classic, with better-than-average miles and a good 4.2L engine. It runs very well with a strong, solid powertrain. Drives very nicely on the freeway.
Clean chassis, with no tweaks, no rust and a nice interior. It will make an excellent traveler, camping vehicle or just a fun Land Rover to drive around as it is. This Classic is turn-key.
* My feedback and the vehicle's condition and photographs speak for themselves ( without having any need to deceive such as copying and pasting someone's listing, such as item # 162641462942 ).
I am a Land Rover enthusiast for sure. I've been around Land Rovers for over 30 years, and have owned various models and vintages.
Unlike the vast majority of sellers who simply sell what they do not know ( let alone car dealers!), I proudly own a Land Rover ( actually, I own seven: a SWB, a DI, a 2010 Sport, a 2004 HSE and two Discovery IIs) and I am fairly familiar with all their quirks.
Feel free to call me with serious, pertinent questions at (650) 430-4660 PST. I have priced this LWB Classic at below fair market to sell. This is a one-year-only revision of the LWB ( which was only made from 1993 through 1995), before it stopped being manufactured and Range Rover Classics became part of automotive history. You simply cannot find these anywhere.
Land Rovers are the best investment for the money, specially examples such as this last-year LWB Classic.
* This is the most fun Classic Rover you will EVER want to own.
I am really, really hesitant to put it up for sale, and I am not looking for any trades or silly offers, thus, serious inquiries only by Land Rover enthusiasts or car collectors, please. I am, however, flexible within reason with a truly interested buyer.
I am also advertising this vehicle in several other venues, and as such, I reserve the right to end this listing at any time should a serious BUY-IT-NOW offer present itself.
Please ensure that your funding sources are in place prior to placing a bid or an offer. Payment to be received within THREE business days. It can be made via Cashier's check or money order(s).
Business, Personal or Annuity checks may also be utilized but must clear first prior to any transportation arrangements being made. An alternate way is bank wire transfer to our local CHASE Bank branch here in town. It expedites the process considerably and allows for faster shipping arrangements.
Upon receipt of payment, I will mail the clear CA title and bill of sale via USPS Priority mail with tracking information.
I will be glad to assist coordination transportation/ delivery of the Classic anywhere nationwide or overseas at the most reasonable rate available. NOTE: Do not go by the Ebay calculator. It can ship for under $1000 anywhere to the East coast. Closer less of course.
Feel free to EM with inquiries. Thank you for your interest ~!
