Advertising for another mate,
A series 3 that's just begging to see bitumen again.
Was driven into the shed over 12 months ago, and not touched since.
will require brakes looked at, as there sticking ( be just wheel cylinders stuck) & probably a fuel flush as it would have stale fuel.
Fresh rebuilt 186 before went into storage ( pretty sure mate said when he got it the motor wasn't even fully assembled, he had to finish of the assembly of the motor.
body has been re-riveted, and it has a clean hardtop not dented or smashed, inside tray area very clean with marine carpet. Salisbury diff, been painted Matt black but hopefully the black will come of and body back to original mustard. roof cage, rear ladder etc. Im pretty sure you could fit a double Bed mattress in the rear, and off you go camping.
Had this old girl been diesel I would of brought it myself for a outback tourer.
Now I Noticed a few faults when taking his pics,
Someone has cut a hole in the dash for what looks like a CB radio, Hopefully this is visible in the pics. the dashes are easy to come across and should be a easy repair. the other fault i noticed is looks like someone has leaned against the passenger front guard as it has minor dint, and the front drivers guard has a ding at the front. it will require a rubber strip under thr rear lift up door as theres a gap. back door has been converted to swing out instead of drop down
Would be a easy back on the road project, Qualifies for club rego.

Ive got it running, has a very slight miss but the points gap is to big, and also still running on fuel thats over 12 months old so would be fantastic once its running on new premium. no smoke, no fumes from breather etc. no rattles. hard to get it moving as the brakes are sticking, but dos drive as ive moved it around. steers very good for a Landrover. high/low tested fine, locks down yellow knob fine, Ive been underneath and chassis looks good from what ive seen. all lights work, heater fan not.
As you can see will require a good wash, lots of dust
He wants close to the asking price but should be negotiable
