Description

1971 Mazda R100 2dr Coupe
This car is being sold as-is, non-running project
The chassis is in great shape, painted several years ago and has been in storage ever since. Small paint chip in trunk lid unfortunately. Its been an ongoing project for several years, slowly gathering parts and installing them. All new rubber door/window seals from an Australian company, new carpet kit, BRAND new windshield installed with aftermarket rubber moulding, dash pad has a couple small cracks. All glass is intact and present, rear quarter windows are not installed just yet. Front bumper is NOS and rear bumper has been re-done, new exterior door handles and taillight trim.
Engine and transmission are from 1st gen RX-7, the 12A engine is fully rebuilt using new rotor housings and has never been run! It's half-bridged AND has semi peripheral ports machined into the rotor housings with a custom built Rotary Engineering intake manifold to support the semi PP's. Dual Weber 36 DCD carbs sit ontop the intake manifold. DCD carbs have staged throttle plates, meaning the primary throttle plate only opens at slight throttle and feeds the primary (street ported) ports for very smooth idle and around town cruising, but once you push the pedal over half way, it opens the secondary throttle plates which feed the bridge-ported secondary irons AND peripheral ported housings making it scream! The transmission is a 5spd unit and the car has a 1st gen LSD installed in the rear diff. There is a Racing Beat header installed on the engine, but no exhaust system from header back.
I have over 100 pictures of the car with the interior removed and on a hoist showing the condition of the chassis, any serious inquiries will have pictures provided to them.
Any questions, please feel free to email me, I can provide a phone number to reach me at to discuss details if necessary
Importing the car into the USA will be done through a Broker based in the USA. The total fee's involved in taking the car across the border is roughly $850.
I am willing to transport the car across the border to a shipping depot preferably in the Detroit MI area. Buyer is responsible for transport costs from the Detroit area as well as border fee's.
