Rare Classic 1979 Mercedes Benz 450SL. Two Tops + Needs Engine! + LOW RESERVE!

Offered for an appreciating is this classic 1979 Mercedes Benz 450SL Roadster!
Finished in black over saddle leather interior, this 1979 SL is one of FIVE SL/SLCs I have available. I am open to offers for two or more and would love to sell them as a bulk lot. With that said, this 1979 runs but just barely with a loud rod knock. I have not driven it. It is being sold with clear and clean California title in hand, it has the factory hard top with quite nice black canvas soft top. It has the chromed factory 14" wheels with some pitting and older rubber. The odometer shows almost 178,000 miles. The car has basically been sitting since 2006 with expired registration but clean title. It has the factory top removal tool, missing stereo, decent leather interior and electric windows. As I hope is articulated in the photos, the black paint on the body is presentable and could of course use a good polish after sitting outside. The leather is a bit worn with nice door panels and dash cover and carpets. This is a great fixxer upper or parts car for one of the others.
PLEASE NOTE: I ALSO have FOUR other classic Benzes.a 1973 450SLC that runs and drives great, a low-mileage 1977 450SLC, a 1979 white 450SL and a nice original 1983 380SL.I would be glad to sell all four of them as a package deal!

It will not be sold with smog if purchased by a California resident due to bad engine so technically being sold as a "parts car only"I welcome prospective new owners to inspect this car in person.
