Up for sale is a 1974 Mercedes 240D Diesel sedan 4 speed manual transmission. The car has been equipped with an auxiliary fuel tank in trunk and professionally installed. The previous owner did this so he could do long road trips and flip a switch to access more fuel.
The car shows 49500 but I suspect actual milage is 149500.It runs drives shifts and stops as it should.
All systems are working and the car was well cared for. Body is very straight with some paint fading on certain panels but overall good. There is some superficial bubbling of rust in lower quarters but it's just enough to remove paint and not bad at al. See pics.
Bumpers chrome are all nice. Interior is VERY clean the 2 front seats have a bit of wear to be expected but dash carpet and rest is very nice.
Tires are good and car is currently registered with clear title and ready to drive.
Car smokes a bit at start up as any old diesel does but then quickly leans out when warm.
Would make a great daily driver or perfect for veggie oil conversion!
