Mercedes SLK 200 Kompressor registered 2004.

This is a Mercedes SLK 200 Kompressor. Its on a 53 plate but registered 01 February 2004.

BODYWORK
The car is 10 years old so please don’t expect an immaculate car. There are a few areas where rust has started and on the nearside there is a scrape along the wing and wheel arch, most will polish out with ‘T’ cut and the bits that were deeper have been sealed with a touch up brush it prevent rusting an easy local repair. Apart from these the body work is in good order.
INTERIOR
The interior is lovely, soft black leather with soft leather cream inserts complemented by cream details to the doors and dash. There is also some nice modern polished steel parts to the console and dash. One of the floor mat lugs is worn and there is no radio, all in all the interior is in exceptional condition.
EVERYTHIG works, all electrical functions, lights, fans, heating, windows, heated seats, retracting roof etc. the roof is very smooth and has not slowed to a crawl like many do and it all folds neatly, just perfect.
THE PROBLEM.
The ESP/ABS warning lights came on about a year ago and since November 2013 the car has been off of the road.
I listed this car last year and received some silly offers, at that time the ABS sensors had all been replaced and the speed sensors, rings and wiring had all been checked. Since then the ESP unit has been sent away to Autotek Electronics in Bournemouth and has been returned after repair and is confirmed working correctly. The fault was a pump overload. This is still under warrantee.
It could be a matter of having a diagnostics machine attached and the resetting of any error codes left on the ESP unit. I'm sorry but that's the best I can give you, however I'm sure you know the value of this car once the problem has been fixed and that could be up to 5,000.00 if not a bit more.

EXTRAS
I have all the original BOSH ABS sensors that have been checked since there replacement and have been found to be in very good condition and working fine. There is also a spare ESP unit that I purchased from Dronsfield specialist Mercedes breakers in Oldham, this has not been tested so I cannot comment of its function ability.
I haven’t been around much over the past two years because of work and I have now had enough of the car sitting around when someone else could be enjoying it.

I have tried to be as honest as I can about the car but I STRONGLY advise you to come and look at the car before bidding, please also use the pictures as part of the description as your bid will be final and non-payers will be reported.
One final thing, at the moment the car has a personal registration that was brought for me as a gift by my daughter, I’m not going to have time to get the registration changed by the end of the auction, so there may be a delay in you receiving the registration papers. To be honest I don’t know much about the process. However If your prepared to do that for me and return my personal registration to me I’ll reduce the winning bid by £150 to cover the cost.
