Description

Selling my Mum's car, 2001 Nissan Stagea AR-X, champagne gold metallic with tan leather interior.
Mum bought it in 2010 when it was imported, had 79,000km then. Now 119,739km with service records for the time she has owned it.
Recently fitted: new tyres, new battery, new radiator.
All original apart from custom-made towbar with extra-long tongue (fitted so tailgate glass can be opened while bike carrier is fitted).
Presentable car, some minor scratches and marks on paintwork consistent with age.
Interior very good, no cracks or rips, could do with a detailed clean.
6 months rego.

The AR-X model features AWD with 'Synchro' mode for off-road that locks the center diff.
Suspension is higher than other models with factory 18-inch alloy wheels.
Versatile car, lots of luggage room, rear seats fold nearly flat at the pull of a lever and have adjustable backrest angle.
206kW 2.5 litre quad cam V6 turbo, 5-speed auto.

Bad points:
Turbo has failed. Not leaking oil or blowing smoke, so the car still drives ok, but no boost so it is slow. Turbo can be rebuilt for $1000-1500. Also comes with a second turbo you could rebuild first then fit to save time
CD changer and tape deck do not work, radio works but FM is in Japanese range. Pretty typical for this model. Can use a 'jumper' on the aerial input to shift FM to Australian frequencies.
Driver's seat switches are temperamental, common issue for this model. Moves back easily, have to jab several times for it to move forward.
Passenger seat switches don't seem to work. Again a common fault, removing and cleaning switches usually fixes them.
Airbag light is on, diagnostic check says this is actually the pretensioner for the driver seatbelt. May need to replace, or possibly just an earthing issue.

No reserve, bid to buy, inspection welcome, located in Oatlands (Sydney)
