Description

This is a 1950 4 door Packard that starts right up and runs smooth and quiet. No rust. Automatic transmission recently rebuilt by Ultramatic Dynamics in VA. New water pump. Modifications include alternator, transmission cooler, electric ignition and sound proofing. Fine daily driver- everything works; all lights and even the radio! Interior is beatiful and original. Includes original Owners Manual and bound Packard 23rd Series Service Manuals. The paint is rough and since I also have a 1950 Standard 8, I just cant afford to keep two of these fine cars. Mileage reads 31555 but is not accurate. Sold as is.Questions? Offers? Email [email protected]
Additional info:
Car is solid and I use it for a daily driver. It's 67 years old and Im just 53 so, no, I'm not original owner. I got it at auction earlier this year to use to restore my other 1950 Packard. It had a bad transmission when I bought it. When I got the car, we all decided it was in far too good a shape to tear up and part it out so I fixed the transmission and decided to drive it while my other Packard is getting rewired. It ran hot too so I replaced the water pump and thermostat. I wanted to paint this car and sell it next year, but the work on my first car is costing more than I have so I decided to sell this one. The tires are decent and all the accessories like wipers, radio, courtesy lights work well. I have a clear NC title for the car.  I am sure the odometer reading is not accurate.  It does not have AC but the vents and blower work well.  The car is at its best running around town or taking short drives in the country. It does best at around 45-50 mph.  I keep no ethanol gas in it and always ad Lead Substitute when I fill up. That keeps the valves nice and quiet.  I really like the car and if I didn't need the $ to finish what I started with my other Packard, I wouldn't be selling it.
