Description

Up for bid is a 1962 Plymouth Savoy 4 door sedan with a slant 6 and manual 3 speed transmission. I have owned the car for about 5 years. It was repainted about 15 years ago to the color of '65 Plymouth Ivory. The cars original color is sandstone which can be seen in the photo of the door jam. The lack of proper pre paint preparation of the door jams and other less obvious areas has resulted in paint peeling. After 15 years there are some areas where rust spots are bubbling out. When the car was repainted new full floor pans were installed. There is no undercarriage rust, inner quarter panels and rocker panels are all solid. The trunk floor has one hole smaller than a dime. Trunk floor has been primed and still has the original trunk mat which is in poor condition. All the correct jack parts are there. The interior looks to be original except for the seat belts and carpet which was new when the floor pans were installed. All the glass is in excellent condition. From the factory this car did not have a radio. An aftermarket radio, antenna and steering wheel have been added. The car shows 93,000 miles, probably original mileage. Recently I completed an engine and engine compartment repaint and detail. The car runs, drives and stops very well and is good to go for everyday use, it is mechanically sound. Please look at the photos. I can be messaged for additional photos. The car is located in the Catskill Mountains of New York. A $500 deposit should be made within 48 hours of sale with the balance due in cash upon pickup. The car should be picked up within 30 days unless previous arrangements are made. Good Luck and Thanks for Looking
