1988 Range Rover Vogue SE 3.5SLTi Mazda Engine
Up For grabs is my Range Rover Classic, bought on a whim to restore as I've always wanted a Mazda Engined Classic.
I bought the car as a none runner but quickly managed to get it running & Driving. The Engine is superb and has a genuine 14,500 miles from new.
The engine was installed by Mazda 6 years ago brand new, the conversion is excellent and the engine was off the shelf at the time.
The Engine starts first turn of the key and is smooth and refined.
The gearbox goes through all gears correctly and is a smooth transition.
The brakes a disk all round with servo assistance and stop the car well.
The Interior is clean but with the usual saggy headlining and someone has cut the seatbelts out so they will need replacing.
Full leather interior, power seats, electric mirrors, windows and sunroof, Air Conditioning and usual goodies.
Stainless steel 3" exhaust which produces a nice note, not too loud but excellent flow.
The electric windows and sunroof do not work-believed to be the control box?
Wheels are original three spoke alloys with good Bridgestone Dueller Tyres.
It has Monroe self leveling suspension at the back [Built into the shockabsorbers] but missing the dial.
Lamp guards all round. Side steps. Front spoiler. All usual SE goodies.
The Bad bits:
It will require welding in the usual Range Rover places,
-The O/S/R Wheelarch
-The Front Inner wings
-Both A-pillars below the door hinges.
Also the rear tailgate as usual is not in very good condition.
The bonnet has rusted through due to water being trapped in the soundproofing [Now removed]
There is No V5C with the Range Rover, I was never given one off the PO who said he had lost it.
I do however have the Registration Transfer documents from when he took the private plates off the car.
I'm Pricing the Range Rover at what It could be broken for, the Engine is an excellent Low miles example.
The rest of the bodywork can be restored in my opinion but I'm no welder or I would have it all done up.
